Three Buddhas of Luang Prabang - Luang Prabang, a picturesque and historic town, located along the Mekong River in Laos, was designated a World Heritage Site in 1995. This ancient royal city abounds with traditional Buddhist temples and colonial architecture: one complimenting the other.
Wat Xieng Thong is definitely one of the jewels of Luang Prabang. Built in 1560, it is richly decorated with coloured glass and gold that shines in the bright sunlight. These ‘Three Buddhas of Luang Prabang’ are amongst the collection of statues found deep in one of the several temple buildings.
